About Us
In the Heart of Underberg
Coleford Lodge is nestled in the valleys of the Southern Drakensberg, part of the Ukhahlamba World Heritage site. The Lodge is the ideal venue for a getaway into nature and all it has to offer. We border Coleford Nature Reserve, ± 30 km outside Underberg, close to the famous Sani Pass and all major activities in and around the area.

Our cottages are all built in natural stone in old Colonial style with large verandas
overlooking the valley below. We have 7 cottages on offer varying in shape and sizes,
sleeping 4-6 people per cottage.

My stay at Coleford lodge in Southern Drakensberg was absolutely delightful. Nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Drakensberg Mountains, the lodge provided a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The accommodations were cozy and comfortable, with every detail meticulously attended to. From the inviting fireplace in my room to the stunning views of the surrounding landscape, every moment felt like a serene escape into nature.
The hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Their warm hospitality added an extra layer of charm to my stay, and their recommendations for local activities and dining options were spot-on.
One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the nearby hiking trails, which offered spectacular vistas at every turn. Whether I was trekking through lush forests or admiring cascading waterfalls, each adventure left me in awe of the natural beauty of the Drakensberg region.
